In Kherson, the invaders fired on journalists - the fixer of La Repubblica died


The correspondent of one of the two leading Italian newspapers La Repubblica, Corrado Zunino, was injured in Kherson, his Ukrainian fixer (this is how local journalists who help foreign colleagues in their work are called) Bohdan Bitik died.

Zunino was hospitalized with a shoulder wound.

“The reporters rode clearly identifying themselves as journalists, wearing jackets with the words ‘Press’ on them,” La Repubblica notes. Both worked hard covering the war in Ukraine. Zunino managed to escape by jumping off the car, he was picked up and taken to the clinic. Bitik was the victim of a Russian bullet, his body cannot be taken away due to the presence of snipers.”

Victims: 1 killed, 1 wounded.
