On Friday, May 27, employees of the Taurida State Agrotechnological University reported that russian occupiers with weapons broke into the building of the university. A similar situation occurred at the Melitopol Pedagogical University. University employees were told that both universities had merged, so teachers must either apply to transfer to the merged university or quit.
Visiting lieutenant colonel Andrey Chuikov was declared the "rector" of the united university.
