The result of the constant bombing of civilian objects in Kharkiv by Russian troops was the partial destruction of one of the maternity hospitals. Pregnant women and maternity hospital staff had to be evacuated underground.

According to the latest data, more than 200 pregnant women remained in Kharkiv. Footage from the underground shelter shows mothers and newborns sleeping in the corridors. Old paint is peeling off the walls. A layer of dust covers the objects suspended from the pipes. The nurses work quietly in the corridors, using the light of their mobile phones. In the neighbouring ward, premature babies are in intensive care.
