Russia forces Ukrainians to get passports of so called Donetsk and Luhansk republics

Ukrainians deported to the territory of the so-called "LNR" are forced to obtain passports of this pseudo-republic.

At the same time, they are threatened: in case of refusal, a person will lose access to payments, humanitarian and medical assistance.

Such forced passportization was recorded, in particular, in Sorokino, Luhansk region. A similar situation is probably happening in the temporarily occupied territories as a whole.

Forced passportization is contrary to international law and violates the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
