In a phone conversation intercepted by the Security Service of Ukraine, Russian servicemen discuss the preparation of a mass indiscriminate killing of civilians in a Ukrainian village.
"We'll go ruin those Ukrainians now. We took a tank from them, pumped it full of f**king TNT, filled it with bolts, nuts, and s**t... Also put a whole lot of mines on it... And made a remote control for it! Now we'll launch it into the village on remote control and f**king blow it to smithereens!"
Equipping any explosive object with a large number of small metal submunitions is known to lead to huge numbers of potential victims of its explosion.
This Russian practice is a real war crime, a gross violation of laws and customs of war.
