During the occupation of Trostyanets, russian soldiers grabbed 28-year-old Anatoly Filippov, who was just walking along the street, and tied him to a pole. The man stood like this all night in the cold, unable to move, and frostbitten his legs. In the morning the neighbors untied him.

At first, Anatoly received medical aid at a local clinic, but then the russians bombed it. When he was taken to the Akhtyrskaya hospital, his legs were already in critical condition. Doctors had to amputate both feet.
