The shelling by the Russian military of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station led to an ecological catastrophe - the mass death of fish in the Dnieper. As a result of the shelling of the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, its shutter mechanism was damaged. This has affected the water level in the Kakhovka Reservoir and the Dnieper, which continues to decline steadily. Because of this, a large number of fish were trapped. Ecologists note that a massive kill of fish due to unfavorable conditions created by the shelling of the RF Armed Forces can lead to a disruption of spawning in the spring.
