The cause of death was mine-explosive injuries as a result of shelling by the Russian troops of the village of Novopetrovka, Shirokovskaya community. This was reported in the investigative department of the National Police.

In the summer, during the shelling of the village by Russian troops, girls of 12, 14 and 16 years old died from a shell hit in the courtyard of their house. “Children were playing near their house and there were shelling of our settlement. And flew in from the Russian invaders. Three children died,” said Valentina Kasapa, headman of Novopetrovka.
